We currently have 40 shops across Scotland. Our shops help us raise funds so we can provide our services to the people who need us. We have volunteers who support the retail dept in many areas including customer care, volunteer drivers and volunteers who help us process stock both in our shops and in our retail warehouse, without whom, quite simply, we could not run our retail chain of shops and raise vital funds for Chest heart and Stroke Scotland. By volunteering in our warehouse, you can make a difference to people and their families in Scotland who are isolated, scared, or anxious about their condition and help us to ensure that No Life is Half Lived in Scotland.
As part of our team of volunteers, you will provide support for both our store teams and warehouse team. You will volunteer alongside the warehouse team to help prepare and send out orders to our shops, colleagues across the organisation and our online customers.
The minimum age for this role is 18 years.
All volunteers are supported by their line manager. Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland will provide all necessary training about Warehouse procedures, which will be carried out under the guidance of the Warehouse Management Team. You will also be given a full induction and be expected to undertake core learning, which includes:
