As dusk falls, you’ll set off from Helix Park to complete a spectacular 5K in the shadow of the Kelpies. The 30-metre tall sculptures of the mythical creatures will be lit up in changing colours to create an amazing backdrop for your run.
The brighter the better at this 5K – fluorescent clothing, glowsticks, torches and anything that glows, flashes, sparkles or shines is very much encouraged!
Get the whole family involved in this fun 5K at one of Scotland’s best-loved landmarks and immerse yourself in the lights as you raise money to help people with chest, heart and stroke conditions live their lives to the full.
It’s time to get ready… steady… GLOW!

By signing up to run the Supernova Kelpies 5K, you’re doing something amazing.
As part of your FREE charity place, we would ask you to promise to raise at least £80 in sponsorship.
Every penny you raise will go towards helping someone in Scotland do more than survive when they return home from hospital with a chest, heart or stroke condition – you’ll help them really live.
You’ll be helping people like Nancy. Nancy is a wife and a mother, and stroke has hit her family twice.
“Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland were there for me and helped me find my way back to the person I was before the stroke.”
After supporting her husband Kevin to recover from a life-changing stroke, little did Nancy think she would have to fight her own battle just three years later.
“Stroke took away my voice and my love of reading and writing. I could never have imagined suddenly losing the ability to read or write. And when it happened to me, I felt so lost.
“When I got home from hospital, I didn’t know where to turn. I couldn’t speak properly, and my biggest fear was that I would never be able to get the words out again.
“Then I got a call from Hazel at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. That call was a lifeline.
“I joined Hazel’s online support group and she introduced me to a volunteer called Sam who has been amazing.
By fundraising at the Supernova Kelpies 5K, you’ll be helping to fund our vital support services so more stroke survivors like Nancy can get the help they desperately need to live their lives to the full.
So, it’s time to get your superhero fundraising cape on!
If you need any support to make your fantastic fundraising ideas really fly, we’re here to help!
