Dig out your running shoes and challenge yourself at the Glasgow 10K. Gather your friends and family and complete the route together, or set off on a solo run at this amazing city-centre 10K.

The Glasgow 10K starts at the spectacular setting of the Riverside Transport Museum.
The route heads East along the River Clyde and takes in the scenic views. Iconic buildings to look out, including the Glasgow Science Centre, The Armadillo, The SEC and the SSE Hydro and all within the first 2KM.

The route then heads over the Clyde and back, crossing over the ‘Squiggly Bridge’ and then George V Bridge. You will then start heading through the hustle and bustle of Glasgow’s city centre heading up Buchanan Street just before you hit half way!

The second half of the route will take you past the south side of George Square and down towards Glasgow Green, taking in the beautiful park including the infamous People’s Palace, before heading back towards George Square where cheering crowds await to help in one last effort to cross the finish line where you’ll receive your well-earned medal, water and goodybag.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or it’s your very first 10K, this is the perfect event to challenge yourself and achieve something amazing.

Be a fundraising superhero

By signing up for the Glasgow 10K, you’re making a difference.

By fundraising for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland and pledging to raise a minimum sponsorship of £150, you’ll be making sure that no one has to feel scared and alone when they return home from hospital.

You are the difference between someone just surviving and really living.

“Because of you, stroke survivors like me and my family can get the help we so desperately need.”

You’ll be helping people like Nancy. After supporting her husband Kevin to recover from a life-changing stroke, little did she think she would have to fight her own battle just three years later.

“I was terrified because I knew exactly what was happening to me. I knew I was having a stroke because I had been there when Kevin had his stroke,” explains Nancy.

“Stroke took away my voice and my love of reading and writing. I could never have imagined suddenly losing the ability to speak or read or write. And when it happened to me, I felt so lost.”

But then she met our amazing support worker Hazel, who also introduced Nancy to one of our incredible volunteers, Sam. Their work is funded by wonderful supporters and fundraisers like you.

“Because of you, stroke survivors like me and my family can get the help we so desperately need to relearn skills we took for granted and begin to rebuild our lives,” adds Nancy.

So, it’s time to get your fundraising hero cape on and raise money to make sure more people like Nancy get the support they need!
