Recruitment criteria:
We are looking for patients with Respiratory / Gastrointestinal / Neurological / Cardiology conditions. We are grateful to be contacted from all types of patients with clinical signs.
Our teaching and examinations are held at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Western General Hospital and Chancellors Building, Little France. We welcome volunteer patients from Edinburgh, the Lothians, and further afield, and we can provide taxi transport where needed.

The Edinburgh Patient Partnership Needs your Help
This dedicated service seeks patients with clinical signs for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and exams.
We wish to seek new patients for exams and teaching; particularly those with Respiratory / Gastrointestinal / Neurological / Cardiology conditions. However, very grateful for all types of patients with clinical signs.
Referral Process
1. Email a very brief diagnosis and CHI / UHPI number to: loth.eppsat@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk (I can then pick up the rest from Trak)
OR
2. Complete clinician referral form located here: Referring a patient: information for clinicians and email to: loth.eppsat@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk
What Happens Next?
The EPPSAT team will then contact patients with further information in writing. If they don’t return consent, we do not follow up – it’s entirely voluntary.
