Stylish Charity Store Opening in Hawick! 26 June 2017 …Press Release…Press Release…Press Release…. Fashion followers will be delighted to learn that Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) is moving into 21 High Street to open a new Community Store. The store will boast a fabulous collection of clothes which will be sold at really affordable prices, along with the charity’s best-selling range of Scottish themed greeting cards and diaries. CHSS has decided to take a bigger unit than they would normally choose to enable them to offer a space to open a ‘community hub’ alongside the shop. This represents a new direction in charity retailing. Retail Director, Jay Hogarty explained, “We aim to have a bigger presence on the high street, where local people can have access to more of our services, as well as a great range of affordable fashion for a good cause. We are working on plans for the hub so that we can offer Hawick a place that delivers real benefit to the local community. “We would like to invite people to our open day at the on Wednesday 17th May from 11am -4pm at the shop to welcome them and to highlight the recruitment opportunities within the shop as well as exciting volunteering roles. Staff from our community services team will also be there to chat about the services we provide for people living with lung disease, heart conditions and the effects of stroke”. “Donations of clothes are always welcome as all items in the shop have been donated to CHSS and all the profits help fund vital services and support for local people living with chest, heart and stroke illness – all money raised in Scotland stays in Scotland.” For any more information on the new Hawick shop please call: Carole Edmonds Senior Regional Retail Manager on tel: 07711559356 or email carole.edmonds@chss.org.uk ENDS Media enquiries: Katy Aitken, Senior Press Officer Email katy.aitken@chss.org.uk Tel: 0131 225 6963 Date: 11th May 2017 Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland 2nd Floor, Hobart House 80 Hanover Street Edinburgh EH2 1EL
