Share for St Andrew – Give 30 minutes for the 30th 23 November 2016 As part of Scotland’s Winter Festivals programme, the Scottish Government wants to get the people of Scotland involved in marking this St Andrew’s Day, November 30th, with the launch of the Share for St Andrew campaign. What is Share for St Andrew? Our patron saint embodied all the qualities Scots are renowned for all over the world: hardy, caring, generous, sociable, empathetic, strong, and connected with others. So this St Andrew’s Day we’re getting involved in the campaign which asks people to keep his spirit alive and ‘Give 30 minutes for the 30th.’ How can you help? We’re hoping this St Andrews day you will take that 30 minutes to look at the volunteer roles we offer and see if there’s something they would enjoy being involved with. Or if you’re pressed to be able to give time long term, maybe instead spend 30 minutes clearing out your wardrobe and donate your no longer needed clothes and goods to a CHSS charity store. Every bit helps and we’ll be getting the message out across our facebook and twitter accounts on the day, so if you see our message please spread the word online with a share or a retweet and together we can get more and more people to Share for St Andrew.
