The emphasis is very much on fun and foam so get ready to battle your way through the brand new Biff ‘n’ Bash obstacle course and throw yourselves down the 20ft Slip ‘n’ Slide– no barb wires, ice baths or 6ft walls in sight! The legendary Foam Pit and Foam Canon are back to make sure the foamiest run in Edinburgh remains just that! CHSS Events Officer, Rachel Morrison said of the event “It is a fantastic day out and it’s all for a great cause! Our RoadBlock Runners have helped raise nearly £290,000 since 2009 to support people in Scotland who are struggling to live with lung disease, heart disease or the effects of a stroke. We ask participants to raise an additional £40 in sponsorship for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland on top of the registration fee. We can offer support with raising sponsorship too. All participants will get a medal, goody bag and CHSS t-shirt once they have completed the fun and foamy course. Set in the heart of Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park, beside the iconic Arthur’s Seat – this is an event not to be missed! Everyone really gets into the spirit of the day and over the years the RoadBlock Run has seen some impressive fancy dress, from animals to minions, and grannies to royalty. Not to mention there’s always a superhero or two at hand to help you along the way. Although fancy dress is optional, prizes are up for grabs and always encouraged!” Sign up today and make the 7k RoadBlock Run your charity fun-run for September by visiting www.roadblockrun.com or calling the CHSS Fundraising team on 0300 1212 999.
