Fundraising Hero Angela! 10 February 2022 With three young kids, a part-time job AND studying for a degree, Angela Brodlie doesn’t have much spare time on her hands – which makes her challenge to raise funds for us all the more remarkable! ? Starting last March, Angela has been walking four miles every day as part of a virtual walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats, a staggering 874 miles. ?? With her self-imposed finishing deadline of February 28 fast approaching, she’s now walking a whopping eight miles a day, having lost a couple of weeks of activity because the family had to self-isolate because of Covid in January. Angela chose to raise money for us because she lost her mum Lesley to the debilitating chest condition COPD three years ago. She says: “Mum didn’t get any outside help, just from me. I decided that I wanted to do something for people who don’t have anyone to care for them or help, and Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland was the ideal choice.” ? “I set a target of raising £500 and I’m halfway there, but it would be great to reach that target and maybe even beat it.” You can give Angela a helping hand as she walks those final miles by donating to her Justgiving page ? justgiving.com/fundraising/angela-brodlie
