Charity Opens Doors to New Elgin Store 09 February 2024 Today (Friday 9th February) Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland opened the doors to its newest charity store in Elgin. However, the store is opening on reduced hours (11am – 5pm) as the charity is still on the lookout for local volunteers to support the running of the retail store. We are still on the lookout for volunteers and donations from the local community to enable us to extend our opening hours and provide the range of items our customers expect. Andrew Thompson, manager of the Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland Elgin store, said: “It is fantastic to have opened the doors of our latest Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland shop in Elgin. “Our retail stores are hugely important in raising funds for our charity, allowing us to support the one in five people in Scotland living with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live their lives to the full. “We are still on the lookout for volunteers and donations from the local community to enable us to extend our opening hours and provide the range of items our customers expect. We look forward to meeting people from the local community as they come into the store to learn more about what we have to offer.” The new retail outlet is located at Elgin Retail Park on Edgar Road. It stocks high-quality women’s wear, accessories, and jewellery, as well as a selection of men’s wear, childrenswear, and bric-a-brac to homeware. The design of the new shop reflects the signature style of the CHSS stores, with high-quality pre-loved items displayed against a backdrop of bright colours and statement wallcoverings. Billy Farrell, Head of Income Generation at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, said: “We are delighted to be bringing the unique Chest Heart & Stroke shopping experience to Elgin. “Our stores offer sustainable shopping with a range of high-quality, pre-loved items available. We hope everyone in Elgin loves the store as much as we do.” Donations can be dropped off at the store Monday – Friday between 10am and 5pm at Elgin Retail Park.
