Celebrating our inspirational volunteers during Volunteers’ Week 07 June 2023 As Volunteers’ Week 2023 draws to a close, we’d like to say a big thank you to all our amazing volunteers. We’ve had an incredible week celebrating with our volunteers across the country, with everything from awards ceremonies and bingo to art competitions and plenty of cake! Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do – every day they give the gift of their time to make a huge difference to the lives of people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions across Scotland. Here are a few photos our volunteers have shared of their incredible Volunteers’ Week celebrations. Our amazing volunteer Svita joined some of the Volunteering team at the Scottish Parliament to celebrate the amazing difference volunteers make across the country. Svita arrived in Scotland 8 months ago as a refugee from Ukraine. She now volunteers in our Bothwell shop. Two of our wonderful Services Volunteers, Phillip and Tom (pictured), were recognised for their incredible contribution to volunteering at the South Ayrshire Volunteer Awards. Our fabulous Cults volunteers got crafty with a fun art competition to celebrate! The amazing art-themed cake display in Cults. Our wonderful volunteers in Stockbridge celebrated Volunteers’ Week with some fabulous cakes. In Ayrshire, our volunteers got together to celebrate over a cuppa – never underestimate the power of a cup of tea! Our Dunbar Shop Volunteers got into the spirit with fun Volunteers’ Week decorations. Our wonderful Volunteer Walk Leaders met online to celebrate the week with a good catch-up! The team of volunteers in Morningside celebrated with some delicious cakes in store. We attended the Volunteer Recruitment Fair in Dundee to celebrate volunteering and inspire new volunteers too!
